Celebrate Belgian culture

FOURWAYS - The Belgian Chamber of Commerce of Southern Africa will be hosting a Traditional Belgian Market Day at the Fourways Farmers Market on 1 November.

The event will be open to the public and will provide South African’s with the ability to experience the wonders of Belgian culture. Sophie Bonnin, spokesperson for the organisation, said, “There will be an array of creative arts and crafts, traditional music, lots of delicious Belgian chocolates, freshly made waffles, our famous beer, ‘Belgian’ Cape wines, typical food and much more.”

She added, “The Fourways Farmers Market is the ideal place to sit back and relax as it offers a secure environment with plenty of parking.”

The event will start at 9am and R20 raffle tickets will be sold. The draw will happen at 3pm and ticket holders stand a chance to win two tickets to Belgium, awarding the winners with the ability to experience Belgian culture first hand in the country’s capital Brussels.

Members of the organisation will be at the event to answer any questions about trade between the two nations.
