Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said the incident took place at around 7.40pm on 13 October. She said a cream-coloured Mercedes Benz stopped next to the joggers and it is unknown how many suspects were in the vehicle. The victims were held at knife point and forced into the vehicle.
Tlamela said the victims had to hand over their belongings to the suspects, including cellphones and a watch valued at R10 000. The thieves sprayed pepper spray at the women before pushing them out of the car.
Tlamela said the victims could identify the suspects. Police are investigating the case.
