Star songstress to carol in Lonehill
LONEHILL - The Lonehill park will be transformed into a candle-lit Christmas wonderland with a very special guest for the annual Lonehill Carols by Candlelight.
The event will be hosted by the Lonehill Residents’ Association (LRA) in partnership with Lonehill Shopping Mall and Fidelity Security Services and will take place on 23 November.
The gates open at 4pm and the programme starts at 5pm. Melanie Lowe, of SA Idols fame will perform Christmas songs as well as a few of her own compositions. Lowe has performed on countless stages across the country and the world and has released four albums.
The programme will include a children’s Christmas story by Skoobs in Montecasino and, of course, Father Christmas will also make an appearance. All family members are welcome except dogs. Residents are encouraged to bring picnic baskets, blankets and chairs to wile away the evening at the park.
Free, secure parking will be available next to the fire station on Lonehill Boulevard.
Entrance to the event is R50 for adults and R20 for children.
