Kids and adults alike took delight in trying their luck at the activations, before being led on the floor by the day’s MC Chad Jones in a dance challenge to Uma singing What’s My Name? from Descendants: The Rise of Red.

The day also featured a quiz, which everyone who attended took very seriously.

Disney Channel officially launched on South African screens on September 25, 2006, making the event 20 years to the day that the beloved channel hit our screens.
“In 2006, Disney Channel aired on DStv for the first time and welcomed viewers across the country to a world of humour, music, friendship, and feel-good fun,” said a Disney Africa spokesperson.
“20 years later, this milestone warranted a special occasion, and what better way than to bring our friends and fans together, to thank them and celebrate Disney Channel’s iconic storytelling and characters.”
