The 11 Angels Foundation receives a generous donation
FOURWAYS – Estate agency, RE/MAX One Hundred donated R15 540 to the 11 Angels Foundation.
Formed in 2014, the foundation aims to improve the quality of care for terminally ill patients by providing support to patients and their families, and allowing patients to pass on in a dignified way.
Speaking at the cheque handover, George Nicolopoulos, one of the founders, thanked the estate agency for their contribution and support.
Nicolopoulos explained that the foundation was formed in memory of a family member, Christine Nicolopoulos, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2012, and fought courageously until 2013 when she was laid to rest.
Abby Goodford, broker manager for the agency, explained that the charity was selected unanimously by estate agents, adding that the money was raised through donations and that each estate agent contributed a percentage of their sales to a charity each year.
