A previous pupil of Kingsway Christian School, Kolotsi applied for a bursary to attend high school at Dainfern College as he recognised the advantages that a world-class education would give him.
He was delighted when he was awarded a full bursary and resolved to make the most of the holistic offer at the school. Kolotsi was fully committed to everything that he undertook at Dainfern College and achieved success in the sporting, cultural, academic and leadership spheres.
He was awarded full colours for chess and soccer and half colours for academics and cross-country and was the captain of the cross-country team.
He developed a particular affinity for chess and qualified for the regional chess team in Gauteng.
In addition to his academic, leadership, sporting and cultural achievements, Kolotsi is also involved in the school’s outreach programme, as he understands the challenges of a disadvantaged background.
Kolotsi credits the college with helping him to become a compassionate, determined and well-rounded person and is committed to making the most of the education he has received. Kolotsi plans to study accounting at either Wits University or the University of Cape Town in 2016 and his tertiary studies have been sponsored by a private company.
