Hirsch’s hosts educational courses for domestic workers
FOURWAYS - Hirsch’s Fourways is always trying to find ways to give back to the community and its educational domestic courses are one of the many ways it do so.
The courses are free of charge and are open to any community domestic worker who would like to take advantage of the opportunity to learn and grow in their personal capacity.
The course is run by regional PR and marketing officer, Brigitte Thysse, on a monthly basis. The domestic workers are taken on an in-depth training session on the upkeep and maintenance of household appliances such as ovens, microwaves, TVs, fridges, freezers and all types of stoves and extractor fans.
Hirsch’s acknowledges that appliances and electronics are becoming more and more complicated, so by hosting these courses, they give the ladies peace of mind when cleaning and utilising appliances as it can be quite intimidating at times.
After the formalities of the course, each domestic worker receives a certificate of completion to thank them and reward them for being proactive and taking the initiative to learn and grow.
The Domestic Workers Course will be held on 20 November at Hirsch’s Fourways from 10am to 11.30am.
