Digby and the Lullaby due to perform at the Green House, Garden Bar Lounge

FOURWAYS – If uncomplicated melodies are your thing, indie folk duo Digby and the Lullaby are not to be missed.

The pair will be performing on 6 December at the Green House Garden Bar Lounge situated on the corner of Church and Witkoppen roads, Fourways.

Originally from Cape Town, Rouchelle Hubsch (on piano and vocals), and Darren Peens (on guitar and vocals) have cast their indie folk spell on audiences everywhere.

Digby and the Lullaby have a flair for intimate performances and single out the theatre as their favourite place to play.

Hubsch said, “Theatres are irresistible… It makes our connection with the audience so real and tangible.”

Their live performances to date include shows at Kirstenbosch, The Chaplin in Port Elizabeth, Googies in New York, The Rhumbelow Theatre in Durban, Potters Place in Jeffreys Bay, The Cash Store in Port Elizabeth, and for three years running at the prestigious Hilton Arts Festival in Durban where extra seating had to be put in after their first performance. Fleur du Lys’ theatre manager, Ralph Piaden, remarked that Digby and the Lullaby were the most complimented act in his theatre throughout the festival.

The duo also scooped a Standard Bank Ovation Award at the 2014 National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.
