Burst pipe leaves Paulshof West without water for the second time in four days

PAULSHOF WEST - For the second time this week, a water pipe at the corner of Holkam and Witkoppen roads burst on the afternoon of 3 December.

The pipe first burst on the afternoon of 30 November, leaving residents without water for nearly 48 hours. The pipe then burst again on the afternoon of 3 December.

Joburg Water has since said the water should be restored by 8pm.

Residents took to Twitter to show their frustration:

Meanwhile, repairs to pipelines in Lonehill have been completed and the water is restored.

Joburg Water said the water supply across the City of Johannesburg is normal, with reservoir levels across the city in a satisfactory position.

The entity also said there are no planned service interruptions for maintenance on 4 December.
