Grass finally cut on K60

PAULSHOF – Paulshof provincial road reserve is finally tidied up.

After 29 weeks, grass along the K60, a provincial road reserve in Paulshof, has finally been cut.

Ward 93 councillor Annette Deppe said, “It is a provincial road reserve and policy says they must maintain this reserve twice a year.”

Deppe explained that the grass posed a security risk to children who walked up the K60 from Umhlanga Road to Sefikeng Primary School, situated on the Leeukop prison grounds.

Lita Jacobsen, a member of the Paulshof Working Group, added that the long grass also posed a fire and security threat for houses on both sides of the K60.
