Read and make suggestions on CPF’s draft constitution

The Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) has published a draft of its new constitution.

In a statement posted on the Douglasdale CPF Facebook page, the forum’s chairperson Jean Berdou said the Douglasdale precinct had an executive management committee and a committee for each of its four sectors.

The statement reads, “In drawing up the constitution, the executive committee consulted with its sectors and sought guidance from the provincial board as well as other policing forums. This constitution is now ready for public perusal and suggestions, and is submitted from 1 November until 15 November.”

The statement further said that the constitution will be reviewed, changes considered and made where relevant, and workshops on it will be held. The new constitution will be adopted at the next annual general meeting on 6 December at 6pm.
