Man airlifted to hospital after shooting incident
LANSERIA – A man was airlifted to hospital on 22 July after suffering injuries from a gunshot wound, according to ER24.
A man was left critically injured early on the morning of 22 July following a shooting incident on a farm off the R552 in Lanseria.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 1am to find the man in his residence and in the company of his wife, who was trying to help him with his injuries and who is believed to have been the one to call for help.
The paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a gunshot wound to his head, leaving him in a critical condition, according to a statement released by ER24.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the man was airlifted by the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter to a private hospital in Johannesburg for urgent treatment.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
