It is the perfect time to either try your hand at golf or come watch a tournament or two at Kyalami Country Club.
A revamped driving range, specials on membership fees and exciting upcoming tournaments characterise the early months of this year at the club.
Kyle Puttick invites fans to watch the International Golf Tour Challenge at the club this year from 25 to 27 February.
The tournament in June last year proved a spectacle with exceptional golf and a tight finish at the end to entertain the crowd.
Slade Pickering and Keegan Mclachlan were brilliant during the tournament, leading their 90 professional and amateur opponents behind by some distance, and finding themselves tied after the first two days.
Pickering shot two eagles in the last round to finish with a 14-under par 64 to beat Mclachlan by five shots.
Various golf days will be hosted throughout the year but one of the biggest, held for Headway Gauteng, which is a non-profit organisation that assists adult survivors of acquired brain injury and their families and caregivers, will be held on 6 March.
This will be followed closely by the club championships in the same month.
Puttick said Kyalami Country Club was in a good space, having overcome issues last year which included an armed robbery and shoot-out in March.
“We have powered through some of the issues we had last year and things are very positive here,” he said.
“We revamped the tee areas of the driving range and the golf course is magnificent, as good as it has been in four years.”
