Candice James wishes Ward 93 a happy 2021
FOURWAYS – Ward councillor, Candice James set the ward's goals for the New Year while sending her New Year's message.
Councillor of Ward 93, Candice James shared her festive season message with the community and wishes she has for her ward in the new year.
She said her job had shifted from being involved with service delivery issues to helping others through illness, death of loved ones, depression and financial crises.
Looking towards 2021, James said there were two projects that would hopefully show more progress.
“We definitely want to continue with the development of the K60, as well as the upgrade of the Sunninghill taxi rank,” she added.
With all the chaos that happened in the year, James thanked all those in the frontline and depot staff for picking up the extra workload while others were in quarantine.
She wished all residents in Ward 93 a blessed, peaceful Christmas and happy New Year.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families who have suffered loss due to the coronavirus. Please enjoy the up-and-coming festive season with the people that mean the most to you. Make memories that last an eternity.
“Look to 2021 with an open mind and heart. Pray for new opportunities, new beginnings, and new goals.”
