A message of hope from Ward 106 for the festive season
DOUGLASDALE – Chris Santana said tribulations have come to the forefront during the year, but encourages residents to remain hopeful.
Ward 106 councillor, Christ Santana has sends his festive cheers to residents in a message highlighting the ups and downs 2020 has brought. He said it has been a year where many tribulations have come forth.
“It has been an emotional, stressful, financial year for many people. It has also been a year where gender-based violence has been brought to the foreground at large.
“The global pandemic has brought peoples’ need to try and cope or understand what has happened, and continues to happen right now.”
One thing Santana wants for residents to do during this time is to look after oneself mentally and physically by being calm and positive.
“Taking all of the negative things into account, the message I have is for everyone to remain hopeful. Yes, there are going to be things in life that stress us out, but we can only control what we can control.
“We need to remain calm and collected throughout all the tribulations, knowing that this too shall pass,” he said.
Santana wished his ward’s residents a peaceful and prosperous Christmas in which everyone takes care of themselves and loved ones.
