Fourways philanthropist on a mission to raise donations for Krugersdorp storm victims
FOURWAYS– Tibbit called on the business community and urged those who can to donate clothes and non-perishable food to lend a helping hand.
In her quest to reach out to the afflicted, Fourways-based businesswoman and philanthropist, Jaci Tibbit embarked on a mission to raise donations to help the victims of the recent storms which wreaked havoc in the Krugersdorp area.
Scores of people in the area suffered loss of valuables and essentials when Mother Nature paid a visit to the area recently.
Tibbit, who was crowned Mrs Gauteng in December last year and pledged to help those in need across the province, said it pained her to see many people in distress because of something they have no control over.
She called on the business community and urged those who can, to donate clothes and non-perishable food to the victims. “We call upon everyone who can, to please help the Krugersdorp community and residents who suffered loss following a horrific storm a few days ago. We are currently collecting blankets, clothes, food and really anything would be appreciated,” Tibbit said.
“Many people lost everything during this horrific storm in Krugersdorp and many of them are in need of basic needs.
“We have received some donations from generous residents of Fourways, we call upon those who can to lend a helping hand.”
