Diepsloot Secondary 3 Class of 2020 achieves 100 per cent matric pass rate again

DIEPSLOOT– Makhubedu said teachers and learners at the school made extraordinary sacrifices to attain their sterling results.

The principal of Diepsloot Secondary School 3, Mmatebogo Makhubedu praised the matric Class of 2020 for the exceptional results they achieved under difficult learning conditions last year.

The school achieved a sterling 100 per cent matric pass rate for the fourth consecutive year.

Makhubedu said there was no secret recipe for the success of the school except discipline, hard work and sacrifice by both learners and teachers. “We are extremely happy with the results obtained by the school following a tough year in 2020. Our teachers and learners went the extra mile and made some extraordinary sacrifices to keep the school’s flag flying high,” she said.

“Our only secret is to make each learner understand the reason why he or she is in school. With the limited resources we have at the school, we managed to get more than 50 bachelor passes in 2020.”

“We wish our learners the best of luck as they enter the next phase in life. We hope that the discipline they applied in school will help them achieve even more at tertiary level and going forward.”

Sixty-six learners sat for the exams with 51 of those learners achieving bachelor’s degree passes.
