Kim McCusker, who was dragged under a taxi in Lonehill, has passed away

LONEHILL - Kim McCusker survived a brutal incident in Lonehill where she was dragged underneath a taxi for over 700m.

Kim McCusker, who was dragged under a taxi in a brutal accident in Lonehill 10 years ago, has passed away.

McCusker’s sister, Julia Frantzeskou, shared the news of her passing in a Facebook post. She said that McCusker had passed away on 22 April.

We are heartbroken and in disbelief as it is hard to imagine a world without our precious Kimmy… I know that she touched so many hearts and that the significance of this loss will be felt by all, including her family, friends, staff members and clients. We ask for space to grieve in this trying time,” said Frantzeskou.

McCusker was caught under the taxi and was dragged over 700m.  She suffered extensive injuries but was able to survive the incident.

In 2016, McCusker released a book about her experience, Scarred — But Not For Life.
