A 34-year-old male was remanded in custody after appearing in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on June 29. He allegedly shot at his wife on June 27, following a domestic violence incident.
Diepsloot Police Station’s spokesperson Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said the victim managed to escape unharmed after locking herself in the house.
“The victim managed to call the police and when they arrived – they allegedly found three cartridges on the scene. The suspect’s firearm was confiscated and he was arrested and charged with attempted murder.”
The bail process is set to take place soon.
