Anggeliki Papadolambis appeal to eligible citizens to get vaccinated
FOURWAYS – Poriazis (76) said her mother is a very active and independent person and does almost everything for herself.
A 99-year-old Fourways Gardens resident, Anggeliki Papadolambis, has encouraged all South Africans, young and old, to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
Papadolambis, who will celebrate her 100th birthday on July 15, received her first Pfizer vaccine jab at the Dis-Chem vaccination site in Fourways Mall on July 5. “I am very happy that I have finally got vaccinated. I’ve been waiting for this moment to come and get vaccinated since the government announced the arrival of the first batch early this year. I encourage everyone, young and old, to get vaccinated in order to flatten the curve of this pandemic,” she said.

Papadolambis’s daughter, Connie Poriazis (76) said, “At her age, my mother is a very active and independent person. She always insists to help herself with almost everything including cooking. She has 12 great-grandchildren who enjoy spending time with her.”
Poriazis also encouraged all eligible citizens, especially frontline workers to get their vaccination jabs to protect themselves and their families. “I got vaccinated with my first Pfizer vaccine jab last week and I can’t wait to get the second one. I haven’t had or feel any side effects and I’m just feeling good,” Poriazis said.

“I appeal to all those eligible to get vaccinated to go and do so in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
“When their turn comes, especially frontline workers, they must put fear aside and get vaccinated.”
