Shoppers compare new Dainfern Square Woolworths Food Emporium to Harrods

Local residents and media personalities gathered at Dainfern Square to experience the newly launched grocery store and mingle with the community.

Excitement filled Dainfern Square as shoppers stepped into Woolworths’ newly launched Food Emporium, with the shelves, displays and wide selection of food products immediately catching their attention.

Among those enjoying the new shopping experience was media personality Carolyn Steyn, who was browsing the store while picking up treats for her beloved dog.

Steyn said the new Food Emporium reminded her of one of the world’s most famous department stores, noting that it looked like Harrods in London, adding that this was the first Woolworths Food Emporium she had visited.

She described the new store as really amazing and said she would definitely be returning for more.

“I’m definitely coming back here,” Steyn said.

Another shopper, Sifiso Moeng, said the launch was about more than simply having a new place to buy groceries.

He said he was excited about the opportunity to meet and mingle with other people while experiencing the new space.
