Husband gets 14 years for murder

SUNNINGHILL – Poliakov will face a duration of 14 years in prison. The accused was convicted on September 29 for 1 count of murder.


Daniel Motelevich Poliakov was found guilty at the Johannesburg High Court on September 29 for the murder of his wife.

The murder took place in Tana Place, which is located in Sunninghill, in 2017. The victim was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.

Poliakov was later arrested on the same day of the murder. He will face a duration of 14 years in prison.

“Detective Warrant Officer Nkhumeleni Mamilasigidi presented imperative evidence during court proceedings which resulted in this sentence,” Sandton Police Station’s Captain Bheki Xulu said.

Station commander Brigadier Egen Moodley, continues to encourage the members of the community to report criminal activities.
