Fourways philanthropist joins hands with Rolemodels Foundation to help those in need

The local philantropist said all the money raised from the campaign will be directed to help buy food parcels for the needy.

Mrs African United Continent 2022 and resident of Fourways Jaci Tibbit have joined hands with Rolemodels Foundation to raise funds to feed the poor through the Poverty Sucks campaign.

Tibbit said the purpose of the campaign which started in 2018 was aimed at helping to feed, educate and support pre-school children in the informal settlements throughout South Africa.

“All you have to do to get involved to support this great initiative is to purchase a yummy Poverty Sucks lollipop for only R10. The money collected from the campaign will go directly to the Rolemodels Foundation who will use the funds to buy and distribute food parcels to help those in need, as well as to support underprivileged schools in and around the country.

“We encourage our wonderful and generous Fourways community as well as schools and corporates to get involved. Poverty is not necessarily an issue to solve but an opportunity to serve and give back to the community.”
