In a bid to curb gender-based violence, Douglasdale police held an event aimed at fighting the scourge on June 22 at Fourways Action Sports.
According to Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, the spokesperson for Douglasdale Police Station, the focus of the event was on victim empowerment through physical activities such as yoga.
The event was attended by members of Douglasdale police, Gender-Based Violence Brigades, and the Ramakrishna Centre who led the yoga and health care lessons.
Douglasdale police would like to thank all stakeholders and participants who made the event a success.
