Green Door Shelter and Telesure Investment Holdings clothe survivors of gender-based violence
Founder of Green Door Shelter thanked the Fourways-based company for donating much needed clothes to victims of gender-based violence
A local non-profit organisation that helps victims of gender-based violence in Diepsloot, Green Door Shelter sealed Mandela Month by donating clothes and food parcels to those in need.
Founder of Green Door Shelter, Brown Lekekela said the clothes they handed over to survivors of gender-based violence were donated by Fourways-based company, Telesure Investments Holdings.

“As a non-profit organisation that offers temporary shelter, emotional support, and counsel to survivors of rape and gender-based violence in and around Diepsloot, it pains us to see women without clothes to change. We are grateful and thank Telesure Investment Holdings for partnering with us to make our Mandela Day meaningful to victims of gender-based violence this year.
“We call upon members of the community, especially men to work with us in our bid to eradicate the scourge of gender-based violence in our community. We need men to be at the forefront to win the fight against this pandemic.”
