Paulshof school excited to welcome new school leader

Edna Lawrence now takes post at Nova Pioneer Paulshof as school lead in which she hopes to instil continuous growth in the learners.

A new school leader begins her journey at Nova Pioneer Paulshof and Nova Pioneer North High School.

Edna Lawrence joins Nova Pioneer after serving nine years at an international school in Cape Town, first as academic head and then as a school leader for pre-primary to secondary school learners. She also has Cambridge experience after serving as an examiner and marker.

Chief of schools at Nova Pioneer, Rahel Wondwossen, said after a meticulous and rigorous search, the school was thrilled to welcome Lawrence. “She is passionate, experienced, and ideal for the Nova Pioneer mission of ushering in the African century with well-prepared young people,” she said.
“It is an honour to be a part of her journey, and we are all excited to help her achieve her goal of ‘having a long-term positive impact’ on every learner’s life.”
Lawrence said she was ready for her new journey at Nova Pioneer and looked forward to many years of growth and adventures at the school. “I am excited about the journey ahead of developing and inspiring the students at the Paulshof campus. We, as educators, have such an amazing opportunity to impart and develop young leaders for the future,” she said.

“Nova Pioneer’s vision regarding innovative young leaders resonates with me deeply. The opportunity to impart and share with our students to be the best and unique individuals they are is both inspiring and exciting.”
Wondwossen looked to the future with Lawrence’s involvement at the school. “We are honoured to have her join our family, and we are enthused to transform and change the face of education with her by our side.

“Through innovative teaching methodologies, we are shaping the course of the 21st century, and as she so aptly stated, ‘as educators we are called to speak on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves. I believe we do not teach a curriculum, we teach children’.”
