Local author inspires courage at Crawford Lonehill Pre-Primary

Crawford International Lonehill Pre-Primary learners were inspired by activist and author Zulaikha Patel, who brought stories to life and reminded them that even the youngest voices can be brave, kind, and powerful.

Crawford International Lonehill Pre-Primary learners were treated to an unforgettable morning when activist and author Zulaikha Patel joined them for a lively story time session on September 11.

With her animated reading and heartfelt delivery, Patel brought her character to life, capturing the imagination of the young learners.

More than just a story, her message encouraged the children to be brave, and to stand up for what they believe in.

“The children were so inspired,” said principal Kopano Dandala. “Many of them shared, afterwards, how brave they wanted to be, just like the characters in the story. As a school, we hope to nurture values such as courage, kindness, and respect, and special events like this give children real-life role models to look up to, and inspire them to believe in their own voices.”

The morning was filled with laughter, love, and important lessons. By weaving courage and hope into storytelling, Patel left the children with the powerful reminder that heroes come in all shapes and sizes, even the very smallest among us.
