Feel-Good Fitness brings Fourways community together

Residents laced up their takkies and gathered at Fourways Crossing for a free outdoor fitness event that promoted healthy living while creating opportunities for local small businesses to thrive.

Fourways Crossing decided to end the month of love on a high note, not with roses or chocolates, but with movement, music and a powerful focus on health and community.

Shoppers and residents gathered at Fourways Crossing for the Feel-Good Fitness event, a free outdoor fitness event designed to boost energy levels and bring the community together in a fun and accessible way.

The atmosphere was vibrant, with music pumping and instructors motivating the crowd to move, stretch and challenge themselves.

Beverly Sefuralo, marketing manager at Fourways Crossing, said the event was about more than just exercise.

“We wanted to end the month of love by showing love to our community in a meaningful way. Health is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, so hosting a free fitness event felt like the perfect way to encourage people to prioritise their well-being.”

She added that the centre is intentional about creating experiences that go beyond shopping.

“We are also advocating for health. By hosting the fitness events, we’re encouraging our community to live active lifestyles while also creating a platform for connection.”

Beyond the workout sessions, the event also created opportunities for local entrepreneurs. Small businesses from the surrounding community were invited to set up stalls at no cost, allowing them to showcase and sell their products.

“We’ve got small businesses from the community setting up as well, just to support them, so they have a free space to make some money.

“It’s important for us to support local entrepreneurs and help them grow alongside us.”

Sefuralo said the event was made possible through a collaboration between Fourways Crossing and its tenants, who came together to support the initiative and promote a culture of wellness.
