Partnership between SheerGuard and Live Life Always Foundation restores pride at busy Fourways intersection
A collaboration between a security company and a local foundation has turned attention to keeping Fourways cleaner, starting with one of its busiest intersections.
A busy intersection in Fourways received a much-needed refresh.
Security company SheerGuard SA partnered with community-driven initiative and non-profit organisation Live Life Always Foundation by Lovemore Robson for another clean-up campaign aimed at restoring pride in public spaces.
The clean-up took place at the corner of Kingfisher Drive and Winnie Mandela Drive, an area known for heavy taxi activity and constant pedestrian movement.

According to Sonia Hosfield, sales manager from the SheerGuard SA security company, the location was specifically chosen because of the large number of commuters who pass through it daily. “People are getting in and out all the time, so we thought we should make it nice and clean.”
Hosfield said their partnership with Robson aligns with their broader mission of not only protecting homes and businesses, but also caring for the communities it serves.
“SheerGuard wants to be known for looking after the community, looking after security, and making people feel safe. Robson gives back to the community, and that’s why we decided to support him.”
While the company is widely recognised for its security solutions, including clear burglar bars made from imported German polycarbonate, the team says community upliftment is equally important to them.
The company’s head office is based in Douglasdale, Fourways, but it operates through 13 franchises across South Africa and Namibia, including branches in Cape Town and Durban.

Hosfield said this is not the first time SheerGuard SA has supported a community clean-up initiative with Robson.
She confirmed the company has already completed two projects together and plans to continue the partnership with Robson at least for two clean-ups every month. “We’re going to do another one on West Road. Lovemore will identify sites that need attention, and then we’ll go and clean them together.”
The initiative forms part of a growing movement among local businesses to play a more active role in improving shared public spaces and encouraging community pride.
“I am so grateful for their help in sponsoring this clean up,” said Robson. “This is what we love doing because we prefer Fourways being clean at all times.”
