BEVERLEY - Task force warns of protests and boycott if feral cats are removed

The Leaping Frog Centre has turned into a boxing ring over the impending removal of feral cats from the premises.
The National Cat Action Task force warned centre management of protest action if the cats get the boot.
Marijke Arran, spokesperson for the centre said, “We have now received a letter from the City of Johannesburg, advising us that due to the cats, the centre does not comply with the requirements as set out by the Health Department. For this reason, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will be removing the cats from the centre.”
However, Anneke Malad from the Task force said the animals should not be removed, and the group has taken to social media in an effort to force the centre to keep the cats.
They have called on others to join the protest, and boycott the centre.
