Defending the Caveman

From the bumbling security guard Johan van der Walt in Laugh out Loud to comedy festivals across the country, South African funny man Committie is back with the record breaking stage play Defending the Caveman.

Based on Rob Becker’s classic stage show, the play highlights the love, hate and laughter between men and women, and gives audiences a blistering show that pokes fun at the hysterical misunderstandings running through our daily lives.

Directed by Fleur du Cap winner, Tim Plewman from the original South African production by Rex Garner, the show offers affectionate nudging with audience members and humorous musings on the sexes and their complex relationships.

This hilariously insightful comedy will have both sexes roaring with laughter and recognition.
Defending the Caveman runs at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre from 4 June to 6 July
