‘Delicious’ international food fair showcases A-list chefs, musicians

FOURWAYS - South Africa's first international food and music festival, Delicious, will bring world-class culinary talent to the Blue Hills Equestrian Estate, on 5 and 6 October.

Presented by DStv, in association with Checkers, Ocean Basket, The Sunday Times and The Sowetan, it promises an A-list line-up, including renowned UK celebrity chefs Aldo Zilli, Ed Baines and John Burton Race, who will showcase their signature dishes at their own pop-up restaurants. These include Aldo Zilli’s San Carlo Cicchetti, Ed Baines’ Randall and Aubin, as well as John Burton Race’s The John Burton Race Experience.

The three international pop-up restaurants will provide patrons with the opportunity to experience their fine cuisine first-hand, while enjoying live music from a raised vantage point overlooking the crowd. These restaurants will be taking bookings for lunch and dinner daily.

Headlining the music is British act Jamiroquai, who will be supported by a host of top South African artists, namely Lira, Danny K, Khuli Chana, Prime Circle and Mi Casa.

There will also be an artisan food market, encompassing a vast array of African, European and pan-Asian cuisine.

Child-friendly areas, hosted by DStv Kids, will feature various activities for the young ones and will include brands such as Converse Kids and Mille Kids.
