Pet adoption day
FOURWAYS - Pet Empowerment in Townships will host an adoption day for all their rescue pups.
The Johannesburg branch of the non-profit organisation, which is commonly referred to as Pets Jhb, will host a day for the community to look at, play with and hopefully take home some of the dogs the staff have rescued.
Pets Jhb’s Nicole Badenhorst and Laura Whittaker also operate Happy Tails Doggy Daycare on Albatross Drive in Fourways where the adoption day will be held on 25 August from 11am to 2pm.
The rescue dogs are mainly from Orange Farm township and Walkerville areas. The organisation performs regular spayathons in the townships and educates the community on how to care for their animals. Any ill or unwanted dogs and cats are rescued and Pets Jhb fosters them until they can find a permanent home for the animals.
