A journey of faith through a simple story

WITKOPPEN - With the surname Page, it is fitting that Witkoppen's Chris Page is egging the community on to turn the pages of his new book, From Fear to Faith.

Page has journeyed from being in a place of anxiety to faith, and at the end of the road is his book launch party, the Liza Minnelli Inspirational Show, led by cabaret singer Tonya Keonderman on 18 September.

Page has reason to celebrate the book, which is his second on the shelf, after he spent six months penning it.

Page explained, “My book was inspired by my own searching to find ways to minimise stress and anxiety in my life, which are both fears. I was also inspired by the many clients who I have seen and guided over the years for counselling.”

While the book is based on Page’s theories on the concept of fear, it is written in a story form. “The book is a dialogue between me and a character named Bongani, who I meet wandering through the African bush. We explore the concepts of fear and faith while observing the wonders of nature and animals. The reader is shown the levels of fear that we all experience on a daily basis. It becomes clear that by having absolute faith in yourself and claiming the truth and power within you, you can navigate your way to a more peaceful and happy life. It is a book anyone can read.”

Page hoped readers would be inspired by the story and find their own strength to overcome their fears to live life to the fullest.

“I enjoyed the experience thoroughly and plan to write many more inspirational books in the future.”

He encouraged the community to read to the end as this is where a slight twist in the story lies.

“The person who edited the book said that after proofreading it four times she could have read it many more times”, he added, and he hoped the community would do the same.

Page aims to continue writing more inspirational books in the future.
