CEO dies after a round of tennis at Dainfern
DAINFERN - Before a round of tennis at Dainfern Country Club, South African CEO for British Petroleum Public limited company (BP Plc) Gerard Derbesy suffered a heart attack.

Eyewitness News broke the story, saying ER24 emergency management services performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, before transporting him to hospital on 28 August, where he died.
ER24 spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said Derbesy was warming up before his heart attack.
Fourways Review contacted Life Fourways hospital, to try and confirm if he was transported there. Spokesperson for the hospital Jane Lamprey said she wasn’t in a position to confirm or deny this.
He was appointed as chief executive officer in 2011, after a proven track record in the petroleum conglomerate’s management structures.
