Pupil inspired by Choc

Fourways resident, Savanna Boltman is a young girl who took the initiative to try and raise R10 000 for the Choc foundation.

The foundation aims to assist families that have children diagnosed with cancer and is currently not receiving any funding from the health department.

“I’m doing this because I want to change the world in whatever way I can,” said Boltman. “I noticed how looks are important to young people, especially females who worry a lot about their hair, and knowing that the children suffering from cancer have no choice but to cut their hair.

“I decided to cut mine too so that I’ll show them that not having hair does not make you any different. It’s not about how you look but its the person you are inside that matters,” said Boltman.

Boltman has managed to raise R5 400 and needs assistance from the community to reach her target.
