The annual sports and cultural festival is a three-day event which brings together pupils from across South Africa and beyond to compete in sporting and cultural events like soccer, netball, basketball, debating and art.
Schools from around Gauteng were invited to participate as well as those from Durban and Botswana.
This year there was a special treat for spectators in the form of street art.
Teams from the various competing schools were given a designated area of pavement and a stipulated time and asked to create a chalk drawing.
The street art teams worked together to create some fantastic pieces of art.
Marketing manager of St Peter’s College Theresa Monoyoudis said, “This festival is wonderful. As far as we know it is the largest high school sport and cultural festival in South Africa.”
