Swimming club grateful to KFC
DOUGLASDALE - Barracuda Swimming Club in Douglasdale thanked KFC Douglasdale for providing them with meals during their team building camp-out.
The club held the camp-out where seven teams had to do an obstacle course challenge.
Club chairperson Jeanette Teles said, “Coincidentally we chose the coldest weekend of the year to have our camp-out. By the end of the obstacle course there were lots of rumbling tummies looking for a hot meal.”
KFC Douglasdale arrived just in time with meals for all the cold and hungry swimmers.
Teles said, “Despite the chilly temperature the food arrived hot. Everyone tucked in and there were huge smiles all round.”
The Barracuda swimming squad will be competing in the KwaZulu-Natal Course Championship in Durban, but before they departed for the competition they dropped in at KFC Douglasdale to thank them personally for their sponsorship and support.
