Saving lives with clippers and dye

FOURWAYS - From Paulshof to Douglasdale, the 11th Cansa shavathon took over Fourways with gusto.

The shavathon saw people donating their curly tops and luscious mops to raise money and awareness for those struck with cancer.

Caregivers from the South African Guide Dog Association and merry shoppers from Douglasdale Village Mall, Fourways Crossing and Fourways Mall gave back with a quick shave or a stylish spray.

As Andrie Krokos, organiser of the Fourways Crossing event said, “It’s a fun event; a festive atmosphere as we raise money for a wonderful cause. It was wonderful to hear everyone’s personal stories as they had their heads shaved or sprayed.”
