Easter fun around Joburg

JOBURG - While children are looking forward to the week-long Easter break, it can put strain on parents to find enough activities to occupy them. But look no further for suggestions on what to do this Easter.

  •  Don’t allow young children to wile away the hours in front of the TV. Clamber Club, which has branches in Sandton, Fourways and Craighall Park encourages the joy of movement, play and exercise in babies, toddlers and young children. They use play techniques to develop the sensory motor and perceptual skills that are essential for learning.
  •  Johannesburg Zoo is the place to be for active, nature-loving children. Their holiday fun programme which runs from 31 March to 4 April includes animal feeding, craft and games. Each day will be different and the fee per day is R75.
  •  The Montecasino Bird Gardens also offers a full holiday programme, including the Flight of Fantasy bird show, interactive tours, fun games and crafts.
