Cathy gets the final word
CEDAR LAKES - Cathy Heaton of Cedar Lakes has made it to the finals of Mrs South Africa 2014.
Heaton was born in Zimbabwe, but moved to South Africa when she was four years old.
If chosen as Mrs South Africa, Heaton has two causes that she’d like to raise awareness about which are particularly close to her heart. Heaton feels very strongly about car safety for children. “I will be doing my best to support and promote campaigns about child safety, collecting used car seats and educating parents about the need to strap their children in whilst driving,” she said.
The other cause that Heaton would like to devote her time to is teaching the youth how to use social media and the internet safely, with special emphasis on cyber-bullying.
