CHARTWELL - Africa's first Nile Crocodile zip line opened this May at Croc City crocodile and reptile park.
This brand new adrenaline inducing attraction near Chartwell is certainly one that will test bravado.
Called the FlyOver, the zip line runs over three crocodile enclosures.
Park owner Anton Lötter said, “Defy gravity and soar through the air over some of the crocodile ponds with one hundred crocs watching from below.”
The FlyOver gives adventurers the heart-stopping opportunity to glide over three different size crocodile enclosures ranging in sizes from 1m to 5m.
“This experience begins with a brief safety and orientation session and is led by highly trained guides. Prepare to experience Croc City from a view point previously reserved for our feathered friends,” Lötter added.
The zip line tour consists of two cable sections or slides with three platforms, the starting, the middle and the ending platform.
“The first section traverses over two separate crocodile enclosures ending on the middle double platform. From this platform the second section traverses over the large crocodile enclosure to the ending platform. The total length of the tour is 150m,” he said.
