Innovation on tap
PINESLOPES - Fourways residents won't have to wait long for the eagerly anticipated opening of innovative bar and restaurant, Beerhouse.

Two years ago German, Randolf Jorberg and his South African girlfriend, Varnia Jacobs saw a gap in the South African market for a traditional beer bar with a wide range of local and international beers. Coming from a marketing background, Jorberg started a hype around the idea before he even purchased a premises for his business.
“Our vision was to give our guests at the Beerhouse a 365 days a year beer festival experience, and be the tasting room for the South African craft beer industry,” he explained.
Last year, Beerhouse opened its doors in Long Street, Cape Town and since then has become a favourite among Capetonians and tourists. Not only does Beerhouse boast 99 bottles of beer on the wall, but also a scrumptious menu created by their resident Scottish chef, Roy MacAskill.
Jorberg has wanted to bring the brand to the Joburg market for a while and has finally found the perfect premises at Pineslopes centre. The Beerhouse crew hosted a roof wetting event to acquaint Joburgers with the concept, although the official launch will optimistically take place at the end of June.
