Monte murder case transferred to High Court

JOBURG- Jean-Pierre Malan and his girlfriend Maruschka Robinson will appear in the Randburg Magistrate Court today for the murder of Dustan Blom,

The Monte Murder case has been transferred from the Randburg Magistrate’s Court to the High Court in Johannesburg.

Randburg Magistrate, Vincent Pienaar announced to the court on 8 July that the matter would be transferred to the High Court where it will be heard from 6 to 24 October.

Maruschka Robinson and Jan Pierre Malan were accused in September last year of murdering Dustan Blom and leaving his body in the boot of his car in a parking lot in Montecasino.

Both the accused are currently being detained at Johannesburg Prison.

July 8, 9am:

After numerous postponements, the two accused of murdering Fourways dad Dystan Blom will appear in court again on 8 July on murder charges.

Malan and Robinson allegedly strangled Blom, before leaving his corpse in the boot of a car at a Montecasino parking lot.

It is unsure if the case will be postponed again.
