UPDATE: Where to get water

FOURWAYS - Residents in the midst of the 15-hour water outage on 6 August should take note of where water tankers are based for the day.

UPDATE: 6 August, 1.30pm:

According to Johannesburg Water, tankers are stationed at Crawford Preparatory on Campbell Road, Cedar Square; and on the corner of Duff and Inchanga roads in Craigavon.

Tankers are avilable at Dainfern Golf Estate at the pavilion and the clubhouse, as well as Dainfern College. In Kengies tankers are available at Pine Avenue, Witkoppen Clinic and Witkoppen Primary School. There are also tankers available at Indaba Hotel, inside Dainfern Ridge Estate, at Dainfern Valley shopping centre, Fourways Mall and the BP garage on Bushwillow Road in Fourways Gardens.

6 August, 8.30am:

Residents of suburbs adjoining William Nicol Drive can expect to be without water from 5am until 10pm on 6 August due to an infrastructure upgrade.

The suburbs and institutions that will be affected are Craigavon, Fourways,Witkoppen, Lonehill and Dainfern. Dainfern Golf Estate, Dainfern College, the Indaba Hotel, Witkoppen Clinic, Witkoppen Primary School, and Fourways Life Hospital are also expected to suffer outages.

Johannesburg Water has apologised for the inconvenience, which is due to an infrastructure upgrade linked to the widening of William Nicol Drive. The water and sanitation provider has undertaken to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
