Hounds found on highway
FOURWAYS - One dog is dead and another is recovering after an ordeal on the N1 highway between William Nicol and Malibongwe Drive.
At 7:30pm on 14 October, Ark Animal Centre sent out numerous warnings via social media about a German Shepherd and a pitbull that were seen running on the N1 highway.
An animal lover responded to the warning and drove out in her car to save the two dogs. According to Ark Animal Centre, the German Shepherd was caught and taken to the Fourways Vet where it is now recovering.
However, the pitbull was hit by a car and killed. The pitbull’s body was also taken to the vet. If anyone knows who the German Shepherd belongs to, or would like to adopt him, contact the Fourways Vet.
