Heronbridge College on top of the world

HeronBridge College is proud to announce a phenomenal 100% matric pass rate for this year, with over 80 percent of its students achieving bachelor degree passes.

HeronBridge College pays homage to the top seven students of this year, who garnered more than 30 distinctions between themselves.

Dux Scholar Erin Warren-Hansen, who achieved an 89 percent overall average, collected eight distinctions for Accounting, English, Afrikaans, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Science and AP Mathematics.

She is also placed in the top 1 percent of all accounting students country-wide, while also receiving an IEB Outstanding and Commendable Achievement award for achieving within the top 5 percent of all pupils in six or more subjects.

Warren-Hansen’s outstanding achievement also placed her in the Top 50 Students’ category country-wide.

Valentine Chisango achieved an 85 percent overall average, with seven distinctions for English, Information Technology, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Science and AP Mathematics.

Emma Stacey achieved five distinctions for English, Afrikaans, Life Orientation, Life Sciences and Mathematics, with an 82 percent overall average.

Four students achieved an 80 percent overall average: Erin Oberem achieved five distinctions for English, Afrikaans, Life Orientation, Life Sciences and Visual Arts; Calvin Branson reached three distinctions for English, Geography and Mathematics; Given Tshuma achieved three distinctions for Accounting, Information Technology and Mathematics; and Natasha Lewis achieved three distinctions for Afrikaans, Life Orientation and Life Sciences.

Mr Keith Wilke, College Head, expressed his pride in the students. “We are extremely proud of our 2014 matriculants. We congratulate them and we are confident that they will reach great heights in their academic careers. We wish them good luck with their future, and we are glad to have played a role in their education thus far,” said Wilke.
