Ward 106 will get more out of Moore

FOURWAYS - Ward 106 councillor, Stephen Moore has high hopes for the new year.

Moore said this year he was planning to improve his communications with residents living in Ward 106 via his electronic newsletter. “I am also trying harder to make Twitter a thing,” he said. This year Moore would also like to participate more in the integrated development plan process to be able to identify capital projects that residents would like the city council to spend money on in the ward.

He added that at the moment his hopes were centred around a more responsible local government authority being able to better control the development within the ward.

“This issue is negatively affecting everyone who lives in the ward and there needs to be a better way of doing business that involves residents most affected by decisions pertaining to development in their resolutions,” Moore said.

He concluded that one of his hopes for the new year was that South Africans could cope with the upcoming rampant infrastructure failures that would be associated with the load shedding that may continue for most of this year.
