Loving, energetic dog is in need of a home
FOURWAYS – PET Empowerment in Townships (Pets) volunteers have worked tirelessly in Johannesburg townships for the last several years, providing healthcare and education to improve the lives of dogs and cats in less-privileged communities, and has said that a special dog is in need of a home.
Laura Whittaker from the organisation said a special dog is in need of good, loving home. “Hymie is the most special dog I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I know he has a perfect home waiting for him and once he gets there, he will be happy forever. He has been in foster care for two years now and the current foster home can only keep him till the end of February,” she said.
She went on to say this two-year-old is extremely clever and would do so well at agility or any other ‘doggy sport’. He can sit, stay, high five, roll over, play dead, hold hands and walk and open doors when told to.
This sporty and energetic dog cannot be homed with cats, birds or young children as he is a ball full on energy. He, however, is great with other dogs.
Whittaker said, “He needs an owner who will truly appreciate his unique nature and nurture his amazing qualities. He is honestly an incredible companion and whoever adopts him will be so lucky.”
Hymie is sterilised, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Anyone wanting to adopt him should contact the organisation via email.
