Walk with creepy crawlies at Crocodile River Reserve
FOURWAYS – Nature lovers and avid fans of arachnids are invited to join Jonathan Leeming at the Crocodile River Reserve for a thrilling Scorpion Walk.
The walk will be held on 19 April from 8am and will begin at The Sheds on Gemstone Road just off the R511.
Leeming, better known at the reserve as Mr Scorpion, will show attendees which scorpions are more bluff than sting, and which species are the complete opposite. This is a great chance to get up close and personal to these fascinating creatures and even hold one in your hand, if you dare.
Enjoy the panoramic views and get a fresh breath of air while exploring the rocky areas of the reserve. Remember to bring hats, sunscreen, cameras and sturdy walking shoes.
The entrance fee for adults will be R60 per person, and children can take the walk for R30, with light refreshments included.
Those who wish to remain at the reserve after the walk are encouraged to bring a penny or spare a pence for the market which will be held at The Sheds from mid morning.
To book, e-mail Jenny Cornish at jcornish@mweb.co.za, or give her a ring on 082 570 4798.
